Here is every lunch dish on our menu that costs less than $12. The prices come straight from our current menu and are before tax. Drinks and extras aren't included.

We counted every salad, sandwich, burger, burrito, taco, quesadilla, nacho and hot plate on the menu whose price is under $12, and left out sides, drinks and dessert. The list is cheapest first.

What comes with it

Our burgers come with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayonnaise, and you can ask us to leave any of them off. On the Salmon Burger, you can leave off the tartar sauce, lettuce or tomato. The Turkey Burger can come with fries for $4.94 more.

Sandwiches are made fresh to order. On the Gyros and Chicken Kabob sandwiches, you can ask us to leave off the lettuce, tomato, onion or yogurt sauce, and on the Hot Dog, the tomato, onion, relish or mayonnaise.

The meat and vegetable burritos are made with rice, beans and our own fresh salsa, and every burrito comes with your choice of black or pinto beans.

The soft tacos come with meat, cheese, lettuce and salsa, and you pick ground beef, chicken, lamb or steak. The Green Salad comes with your choice of ranch, Italian or oil and vinegar dressing, and the Cheese Quesadilla comes with your choice of salsa.

If you'd like fries on the side, French Fries are $4.99. Drinks are extra: a small soft drink is $2.65 and iced tea is $3.99.

Deciding between burger sizes? The 1/2 Hamburger is $3.00 more than the 1/4 Hamburger.

Under $12, tuna comes two ways: the Tuna Salad sandwich ($10.40) and the Tuna Melt ($11.25), and on either one you can leave off the lettuce or tomato. The Tuna Salad from our salads menu is $12.50. The two lowest-priced sandwiches are the Hot Dog ($6.25) and the Grilled Cheese ($7.50).

Worth stretching for

For a few dollars more, these two chicken dishes come with two sides you choose:

We're at 2101 Shattuck Ave, a short walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. We're open Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 4:45 PM. Call ahead at (510) 486-8027 to pick up, eat at one of our tables, or have lunch delivered by a third-party courier.
